Exhibition: 10th CATAVÍDEO – success anniversary

Santa Catarina Video exhibition – CATAVÍDEO is a multi-sectorial project which includes training workshops, round tables and video exhibitions. This year it was held in partnership with Alquimídia.org Cultural Association and Fundo Municipal de Cinema de Florianópolis – FUNCINE (Florianópolis Municipal Movies Fund). Since its inception, this is an entirely free event. Created in 1998 in Florianópolis, CATAVÍDEO is a free channel dedicated to exhibitions and discussion between filmmakers and audiences in Santa Catarina.
Currently, the goal of Catavídeo has expanded: the idea is not just to establish itself as the main place for video production in Santa Catarina, since this goal was already achieved in the ten years Catavídeo has existed. Now, the project wants more than that: besides forming an audience and encouraging the exchange of experiences among directors, this exhibition aims to encourage even more the development of audiovisual productions, providing tools for professional training for those that are already producing videos in Santa Catarina and also for those intending to start.
